A sip of sweet tea with a little added spice is one way you can describe Taylor Jensen's style of Classic country storytelling mixed with modern country pop influences. The songstress’s first record, “End the Road,” showcased her undeniable vocal talent and landed her a spot on Spotify editorial playlists “New Music Friday Country” and “Fresh Finds Country.” Her follow-up single, “OVER,” is set to release on November 1st, 2024, and showcases the versatile and growth of herself and her storytelling.
Immediately sinking into the colorful twangs of country chords, Taylor interweaves modern timbres to craft a seamlessly sensational song. Writing from the depths of her heart, Taylor focuses on creating evocative and captivating music that leaves you feeling like you’ve just had a margarita with your best friend. Her ability to enrapture audiences through her honest and relatable lyricism is a testament to her masterful songwriting. Soft yet fierce, vulnerable yet resilient; Taylor’s music is the ultimate soundtrack for those who feel everything a little more deeply and struggle to articulate their true emotions.
Born and Raised in a quaint town of 1200 people on the Coast of Cape Breton Island, NS Canada, the songstress has found her voice and spot in the country music scene writing and performing. Having played at the ECMA award-winning Blueberry Jam Music Festival, and North of Nowhere Country Music Festival Ontario, Jensen is now working with The Renaissance Music (Garrett Ward, Dan Botch) out of Vancouver and writing with CMA Ontario Award-winning producer Shawn Moore to bring her next chapter of storytelling to life.
Her writing influences fall all across the board. “ I grew up listening to Merle Haggard, John Prine and Willie Nelson thanks to my father.” Now, her influences come from the female power houses of country music, Kacey Musgraves, Lainey Wilson and Miranda Lambert to name just a few. “ If it’s got an insane drum beat and storytelling that leaves you with imagery in your mind like none other, I'm probably listening to it…or if it gives you a good cry. Sappy Cowgirl with a little spicy is my motto right now in this chapter of my music journey”.
